Ph.D Student

I am a Dutch Citizen, Originally from Iraq, after I graduated from physics I worked as a teacher and a researcher in the different field of physics (Laser’s physics, Atomic Nuclear Physics and General Physics). Furthermore, authored a book on ‘’Atomic Physics’’. After words, I studied Co2-Lasers with their applications and related optics in Munch University-Germany.

In Holland, I worked and studied with’’ Nano-Structured materials group’’  at Delft University of Technology - The Netherlands, working on nanoparticles, Aerosols technology, how to produce the nanoparticles, charging those particles by Nuclear radiation via radioactive sources, classifying and detecting them according to their mobility.

Since I started a PhD, I joined the Organic Electroactive Materials Group which belongs to the Durham Photonic Institute-Durham University, with having an excellent supervisor Prof. Andy Monkman, I deeply appreciated his help and sincerely thank him, who put me and guide me to the right way with superior advice all the time. I followed several courses and teaching induction, which has extended my knowledge of concepts involved in application and teaching for postgraduate's session, in order to teach assessment in sciences to small groups and laboratory demonstrating.

My researches interested are Photophysical Properties of materials and device characteristics of Organic light-emitting diodes (OLEDs), which focus to understand the physics of these remarkable materials. As a result, I did a lot of measurements on charging Iridium complexes, Mono and Di-uncles Iridium Complexes, which leads to contribute to several research papers along with co-workers in Chemistry – Durham University. In addition, with my own papers.

Currently, I am demonstrating level 2, Long term experiment, level 3, Foundation of Physics and Level 4, Advanced Condensed Matter Physics.

I am confident, enthusiastic, hard working an individual and organised person who likes to try out new challenges enjoy learning modern skills, and travelling.
