  • ICEL Kyoto 2024

The OEM group are Japan-bound as they attend the 14th International Conference on Electroluminescence and Optoelectronic Devices (ICEL) held in Kyoto. Professor Monkman has been invited as a guest speaker, presenting the group's research on “Excited state conjugation breaking in rigid, planar molecules leading to charge-transfer states and thermally activated delayed fluorescence”.
The OEM Kyoto team looks forward to connecting with leading researchers from around the world, attending presentations on the latest advancements in organic and hybrid light-emitting materials, and showcasing posters of their own cutting-edge work.

  • Publications in Nature!

The OEM Group have recently had two papers published in the Nature journal. A paper regarding the requirements for ultraefficient sensitization in hyperfluorescent OLEDs was accepted to 'Photonics' in January 2024, and most recently, a paper regarding rigid and planar π-conjugated molecules leading to long-lived CT states exhibiting TADF was accepted to 'Communications' in October 2024.
These publications highlight the group's leading role in innovating optoelectronic devices, and sets a strong foundation for future exploration and collaboration within the field.
